Our posts are manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine (SYP), which is a superior quality post.Ā SYP posts drive into the ground well, with very little breaking or splitting.Ā They absorb the preservative well in the pressure-treating process so are better protected, and for a longer period of time than the competitors' posts.Ā Others sell posts that are Canadian Red Pine, which have a much higher breaking/splitting rate than SYP when being driven into the ground.Ā Additionally, they will not absorb the preservative nearly as well into and throughout the post when compared to the SYP.Ā Ā Because of these two features, our SYP posts are of superior quality and greater longevity under normalĀ circumstances than are Canadian Red Pine.Ā Ā
